Lucy really enjoys designing long narrow gardens, typical of Victorian Terraced houses. They can be zoned really successfully and offer potential to create the ultimate 'outdoor room' feel.
This project was a blank canvas following renovation work and a new kitchen; the garden had been used as a dumping ground during the works.
Lucy set the new design at an angle to give the illusion of more width and her clients (and their neighbours) were happy to lose the fences and replace them with low brick wall....Amazing!
They also wanted to replace the lawn with lots of wildlife attracting planting and a water feature.
The planting has only been in place for 8wks for these photos so will soon form a full, blousy mass of colour, texture and fragrance.
