Lucy's design for this new build property has elements of a Japanese style with her typical strong geometric form too. The bold grid of box hedging blocks and gravel creates a playful chequerboard effect. The large open aspect of the site needed bold statements, so the geometry continues with a large granite paved dining space and square deck leading off this. The remainder of the garden was lawned with a view to adding more features over time.
Lucy is currently designing a planting scheme to enhance an area at the front of the property.
