Lucy designed a knot garden as part of the front garden of this thatched cottage just outside Stratford upon Avon.  The space was going to be used in the evening by the young clients as their back garden was a play area for their little boys.  Lucy included a beech hedge along the front boundary to provide privacy as the 4th quadrant of the knot garden was paved to allow for a bistro table and chairs for evening G 'n' T's once the children were in bed.

3 Staddle stones added interest within the knot garden whilst lavender and alliums added some colour amongst the box hedging.  Granite paving and gravel were used to bring a contemporary twist to the scheme and to keep it fresh.

Planting around the knot garden included lots of purples and ornamental grasses for texture.
