Lucy was commissioned to help her client update and redecorate a stylish apartment in Kenilworth. The client preferred a neutral, understated colour palette but was unsure how to make the space feel warm, cohesive, and full of personality. Lucy’s goal was to elevate the interiors with subtle glamour, thoughtful colour placement, and elegant detailing to create a home that felt both sophisticated and inviting.
A feminine, glamorous wallpaper by House of Hackney was chosen for the WC as the ‘hero’ feature of the scheme. This striking design became the starting point for the colour palette throughout the apartment. From its rich tones, Lucy drew out a deep cherry red accent to introduce warmth, depth, and character to the otherwise neutral scheme — ensuring the interiors never felt flat or bland.
In the kitchen, Lucy designed a rich cherry-coloured shaker kitchen, with walls colour-drenched in the same bold hue to create a stylish and dramatic statement. The tone was also carried through to the porch, where cherry-toned floor tiles and matching walls provide a sense of continuity and impact as you enter the home.
The rest of the apartment was repainted in a soft, creamy neutral to balance the bolder spaces. Lucy introduced classic wall panelling in the living and dining rooms to add architectural interest and texture, giving these areas a refined and timeless feel.
The new bathroom continues the sense of luxury, with marbled tiles featuring subtle red veining paired with textured metro tiles to enhance depth and contrast. Throughout the project, Lucy also specified lighting, radiators, carpet, and flooring, ensuring every detail contributed to a cohesive and elevated design.
The result is an elegant, feminine, and confident interior that feels harmonious and characterful. The updated apartment now perfectly reflects the client’s style — calm and contemporary, yet full of warmth and personality.
