Vibrant Victorian Terrace Renovation for a Young Family
Project type
Interior Design
Location
Stratford upon Avon
This full-home interior design project was completed for a young couple expecting their first child, in a charming Victorian terrace property. The brief was clear: inject colour and personality into the home without following fleeting trends. Lucy worked closely with the builder and a team of trades to guide the couple through the renovation process—offering both creative direction and practical support during what can often be a stressful time.
The entire home was redecorated with a bold, joyful colour palette, unified by the striking House of Hackney floral wallpaper featured in the WC. Each room was designed with individuality while maintaining overall cohesion:
A bright and modern bathroom in yellow, white and black
A playful pink and red upstairs toilet
A main bedroom featuring a bold pop of blue
A vibrant, welcoming nursery
A calm, restful guest bedroom
A moody dark blue snug for relaxation
A cheerful living room with colourful artwork and accessories
Lucy also specified carpets throughout the upstairs rooms, along with a stair runner trimmed with a distinctive yellow edge for added character. Bespoke curtains were selected to bring cohesion to each bedroom, including a delightful pom-pom trim for the nursery.
The final result is an uplifting, personality-filled home that reflects the clients’ style and can easily evolve as their family grows—a true celebration of colour, comfort, and creative interior design.
