Family Garden Design in Solihull

This spacious family garden in Solihull was reimagined to better suit modern family life. Lucy was commissioned to redesign the layout to accommodate a new Green Retreats garden studio, a generous entertaining area just off the kitchen, and an expansive lawn for play and relaxation.

To bring structure and purpose to the large open space, Lucy carefully zoned the garden, using a mix of structured planting and vibrant colour to define each area. Hard landscaping was introduced to create a seamless, all-weather connection between the main house and the garden studio—ensuring functionality throughout the year.

A playful nod to the family’s quirky ‘Gin House’ was woven into the design, adding personality and continuity. The result is a garden that feels both elegant and fun—beautifully connected to the home and enjoyed by the whole family.
