Victorian Residence Landscape Design in Leamington Spa

Lucy was commissioned to design the landscape surrounding a substantial Victorian residence in Leamington Spa, with the property enjoying far-reaching views over the Warwickshire countryside. With over three acres of grounds to work with, she created a series of elegant garden spaces that complement the grandeur of the home while enhancing the lifestyle of its owners.

Working alongside architects, contractors, and interior designers as part of a large renovation project, Lucy designed a timeless scheme that balances formal structure with relaxed areas for entertaining. A contemporary knot garden and turning circle form a striking entrance, softened with seasonal planting. At the rear, a firepit seating area, outdoor kitchen, dining space, and timber spa provide places to gather, while mixed hard landscaping materials define each zone and add texture.

On the south side, a formal lawn bordered with sun-loving planting makes the most of the open countryside views, while numerous trees were added to the site to enrich the mature setting. By working with the existing landscape, Lucy has created a garden that feels rooted in its historic character yet designed for modern family living.
