Stratford upon Avon Hospital

Lucy was proud to be asked to design the courtyards for the state-of-the-art Cancer and Eye Hospital in Stratford upon Avon. This £22million facility opened in 2017.

The courtyards will provide space to relax and spend time with relatives while undergoing treatment, as well as offering an extension to the health and well-being centre. The smaller courtyard offers space for outdoor yoga and overspill areas for the popular cafe.

Community fundraising raised £1million to fund additional elements such as these courtyards to make patients feel more comfortable and improve the health of residents in the area.
The planting will take some time to establish and there are curved benches to be added yet.
