Lucy created quite an organic shaped design for this garden as it was so close to the river, using curved and waved shaped beds leading down to the rivers edge. Nearer the house incorporated some structure though with terraced beds of ornamental grasses and colourful herbaceous plants. The grasses added movement and texture, plus they always look great near water. They are also easy to see through as Lucy's clients didn't want to block any of their stunning views. Planting around the Breezehouse had a more tropical/jungle feel with mature tree ferns adding height and wow factor. What a perfect place to watch the boats go by!
