Lucy designed this sweet courtyard in Stratford upon Avon to incorporate lots of her clients favourite plants and provide her with a haven to enjoy time in her garden.

The brief asked for; space for her dining table, sunlounger, some lawn, a route to the garage and a reasonable amount of planting.

Lucy used interlocking circles to soften the space and create pockets of planting.  The artificial lawn is very low maintenance and Lucy's client is already enjoying keep this in mint condition with a quick hoover!  Planting was designed to provide year round interest, lots of pinks and purples, with Salvia's and Verbena adding an almost electric purple colour for several months in the summer.

The riven paving provides a 'country feel' and works well with the house brick colour.  Sett edging frames the patio circle and pathway to the garage.

There is a lot of detail included in this small space and it should provide enjoyment for many years as the planting matures.
